Agarita In The Fall
We received about 0.15 inches of rain last night and it was most welcome. It didn’t rain at all in November and even though it wasn’t much, the mid-December rain is like a gift from the sky.
Here’s a pretty Agarita (Mahonia trifoliolata) bush along our eastern fence.
In this close up you can see the leaves. The leaves occur in groups of three. Some of the red color is in the leaves, but some is in the non-woody stems. The older stems become woody but the younger ones are not.
